Trossachs Self-Catering

Terms and conditions
The Squash Court is offered for self-catering holidays on a weekly basis from Saturday 4pm to Saturday 10am on the day of departure.

To secure a confirmed booking a deposit of 30% is required. Once paid the hirer becomes liable for the full balance of charges which are payable six weeks in advance of the start of the holiday. A returnable good housekeeping deposit of £150 is also payable. Non payment by the due date will mean the property will be made available for rebooking.

If a confirmed booking is cancelled the hirer remains liable for the full cost of the holiday. If the property can be re-let a refund less an administration fee of £60 will be made.

The number of people occupying the property must not exceed the stipulated number without prior consent. The occupancy can be terminated without notice or refund in the case of a breach of this condition. Well behaved dogs are permitted by prior arrangement on payment of a fee of £15.

The hirer is responsible for the condition of the property and its contents – fair wear and tear excepted. Any damage or loss must be made good, and it is a condition of the let that the property must be left in a clean and tidy condition. The

good housekeeping deposit is returnable less the cost of any damage, loss or excessive cleaning found to be necessary following the period of occupation. If the deposit is refunded via PayPal then the hirer is responsible for all money withdrawal fees (typically between 4–5% of the deposit amount).

We reserve the right to refuse to hand over a property to any person who is not considered suitable to take charge. In such cases the hire charges shall be refunded in full. If circumstances outside our control – such as, but not limited to, fire damage or interruption of utility supplies or flooding – prevent us from putting the property at the disposal of the hirer the charges will be refunded in full (less any PayPal transfer fees), and the hirer will have no further claim.

The contract between the hirer and the owner is in terms of schedule 4 section 8 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1988, and confers on the hirer the right to occupy the property for the period agreed for holiday purposes only.
